Ingredients
- 1 (15.25-ounce) package white cake mix
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 (21-ounce) can apple pie filling
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk, plus more, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Step 3 -In a large bowl with a handheld electric mixer, add the white cake mix, the cinnamon, the sour cream, the eggs, and the water and mix until smooth.
Step 4 -Evenly pour the batter mixture in the prepared baking dish.
Step 5 -Evenly spoon the apple pie filling over the batter in the baking dish, making sure to cover the batter completely.
Step 6 -Bake until the cake is golden and cooked through, about 40 minutes.
Step 7 -Transfer the baked cake from the oven to a wire rack and let it cool completely.
Step 8 -In a medium bowl, add the confectioners' sugar and 1 tablespoon of the milk and mix to combine. Add the extra milk, 1/2 tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
Step 9 -Evenly drizzle the glaze over the top of the cooled cake.
Step 10 -With a sharp knife, cut the cake and serve.
