- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Step 3 -In a large bowl, add the chocolate cake mix, the eggs, and the oil and mix until it is well-combined. It will be very thick.
Step 4 -Use a medium-sized cookie scoop or spoon to evenly scoop the cookie dough onto the prepared cookie sheet.
Step 5 -Bake the cookies until they are golden-brown around the edges and slightly darker in the center, about 7-8 minutes.
Step 6 -Transfer the baking sheet to a wire rack and let the cookies cool, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 7 -Transfer the cookies to the wire rack and let them cool completely.
Step 8 -Repeat the baking and cooling process until all of the remaining cookie dough has been used.
Step 9 -While the cookies are cooling, in a small saucepan over medium heat, add the butter, the cocoa, and the milk and whisk until it is melted.
Step 10 -Transfer the saucepan from the heat and add the confectioners' sugar. Whisk until it is smooth.
Step 11 -Evenly pour the frosting over the cookies, then use a knife or spoon to spread the excess frosting around each cookie to completely cover them.
Step 12 -Let the cookies sit until the frosting is set.
Step 13 -Serve.
