The Cordon Bleu Bake takes the blue-ribbon flavors of the original dish—savory chicken, ham, and melty Swiss and cheddar cheeses—and transforms them into creamy layers of home-cooked flavor. The stuffing topping adds crunchiness to the ever-delectable helpings, so you can't help but go back for seconds. Your weeknight meals just got a flare of French cuisine!
Ingredients
- 2 (6-ounce) packages of reduced-sodium stuffing mix
- 1 (10.75-ounce) can of condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 1 cup milk, 2%
- 8 cups chicken, cubed and cooked
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 pound sliced deli ham, cut into 1-inch strips
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease two 9x13-inch baking dishes.
Step 3 -Prepare the stuffing mixes according to the package directions.
Step 4 -Whisk the cream of chicken soup and milk together.
Step 5 -Toss the chicken with the pepper.
Step 6 -Divide the chicken evenly between the prepared baking dishes.
Step 7 -Layer each baking dish with even amounts of ham and Swiss cheese.
Step 8 -Layer 1 cup of cheddar cheese into each baking dish.
Step 9 -Add in the soup and stuffing.
Step 10 -Sprinkle each baking dish with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Step 11 -Bake, covered, for 30 minutes.
Step 12 -Uncover and bake until the cheese is melted, for about 10-15 minutes.
Step 13 -Serve.
