This is taking the ordinary and making it upscale. Corporate Burgers come out so, so juicy thanks to the pickle juice and Worcestershire sauce mixed into the meat, heightening the beefy flavor as they are grilled to perfection. Stacked high with all the fixings, Corporate Burgers are the kind of burger you make to impress your boss at dinner. Meanwhile, your taste buds might just give you a promotion!
Ingredients
- For the hamburger patties:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons pickle juice, can substitute cold water
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, optional
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, for oiling the grill grates
- For serving:
- 4 hamburger buns, sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 4 slices tomato, 1/4-inch thick
- 1/2 cup red onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
Directions
Step 1 -In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, the breadcrumbs, the cheddar cheese, the parsley, the pickle juice, the garlic powder, the Worcestershire sauce, the salt, and the pepper and combine well with a spatula or your clean hands.
Step 2 -Shape the beef mixture into a firm ball.
Step 3 -Cover the ball with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 1 hour and up to overnight.
Step 4 -Transfer the ground beef mixture onto a large piece of parchment paper.
Step 5 -Flatten the ground beef with your clean hands into a square, about 1/2-inch thick. You may also use a rolling pin.
Step 6 -Using a 4-inch-wide circular mold or the rim of a small round bowl, cut out 4 hamburger patties. Divide the scraps evenly amongst the patties.
Step 7 -Brush the oil onto the grill grates.
Step 8 -Heat the grill to medium-high heat.
Step 9 -Place the patties on the grill, leaving space in between each, and cook until the patties are well-done and reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees F, about 5 minutes per side. Alternatively, cook the patties for less time for a medium-rare or medium burger.
Step 10 -Transfer the patties to a clean plate.
Step 11 -Open the hamburger buns and optionally grill them, cut-side down, until toasted, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 12 -Transfer the buns to a plate and spread 1 tablespoon of the mayonnaise on the bottom half of each of the buns.
Step 13 -Top each of the mayonnaise layers with 1 piece of the lettuce and 1 of the grilled hamburger patties.
Step 14 -Top each patty with 1 slice of the tomato, an even amount of the onions, and an even amount of the pickle slices.
Step 15 -Add 1 tablespoon of the ketchup to the cut-sides of the top buns and close the burgers.
Step 16 -Serve.
