According to legend, the first fried ravioli came about when a traditional ravioli slipped into a fryer in St. Louis. There's nothing accidental about how delicious Easy Fried Ravioli tastes! Crispy-crunchy on the outside, cheesy on the inside, and sprinkled with parmesan, Easy Fried Ravioli is one of the greatest appetizers of all time for good reason. Dipped in marinara sauce, this is an easy snack bursting with finger-licking flavors. You won't just dip into the Easy Fried Ravioli; you'll cannonball in!
Ingredients
- 1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated cheese ravioli
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
- neutral-flavored oil, to taste
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- marinara sauce, optional, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 -Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2 -Put the eggs and the milk into a small mixing bowl and whisk thoroughly.
Step 3 -Put the breadcrumbs onto a plate or into a shallow bowl.
Step 4 -Dip each of the raviolis into the egg mixture, then roll them in the breadcrumbs.
Step 5 -Place the dredged raviolis into a single layer on the baking sheet.
Step 6 -Add about 3 inches of the oil in a deep pot and heat to 350 degrees F.
Step 7 -Add about 6-8 of the raviolis to the pot at a time and fry until they are browned all over, about 3-4 minutes. Repeat the process until all of the raviolis are cooked.
Step 8 -Top the fried ravioli with the parmesan cheese and the parsley.
Step 9 -Serve with the marinara sauce.
