Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 4 cups peas, fresh or frozen
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat a heavy pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-low heat.
Step 2 -Add the butter, the garlic, the marjoram, and the peas to the hot pan and stir to combine.
Step 3 -Cover the pan and allow the pea mixture to cook for 5 minutes.
Step 4 -Add the paprika to the pea mixture and stir to combine.
Step 5 -Add the flour to the pea mixture and stir to combine.
Step 6 -Add the whipping cream, the salt, and the black pepper to the pea mixture and using a whisk, stir until blended.
Step 7 -Uncover the pan and cook the pea mixture until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Step 8 -Add the parmesan cheese to the pea mixture and turn off the heat.
Step 9 -Stir the pea mixture until the parmesan is incorporated and the mixture is thickened.
Step 10 -Serve immediately.
