Woo! It's party time! And what is a party without Party Fries? Not a very good party, that's for sure! Party Fries are tender, oven-roasted wedge potato fries, coated with olive oil and delicate seasonings, then topped with melty cheddar cheese! Served with tangy sour cream, Party Fries are stretchy, savory, festive fun for your taste buds! The party is on!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- kosher salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 pound red potatoes, cut into 8 long wedges
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons sour cream, for serving
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 -Line a baking sheet with foil.
Step 3 -In a small bowl, add the olive oil, the garlic, the red pepper flakes, the salt, and the black pepper and whisk to combine.
Step 4 -Place the potato wedges on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 5 -Fold up all the sides of the foil lining the baking sheet to create a bowl.
Step 6 -Evenly spoon the olive oil mixture over the potato wedges.
Step 7 -Fold the sides of the foil over the potato wedges, covering them completely, and seal the packet closed.
Step 8 -Bake the potatoes until they are tender, about 30-35 minutes.
Step 9 -Sprinkle the potatoes with the cheddar cheese.
Step 10 -Switch the oven to the broil setting and broil until the cheese is melted and the potatoes are crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 11 -Serve the potatoes topped with the sour cream and the chives.
