About

Give us all the fall treats! Pumpkin-flavored, apple-flavored, we don't care! We love them all. If you're like us, then here's another one to add to your autumn-themed roster... Perfect Pumpkin Brownies! YUM. Squares of moist, crumbly bites of pumpkin-and-chocolate-infused perfection. They remind us of chocolate chip pumpkin bread but they're even more chocolatey and maybe even a tad bit sweeter... and of course, they're cut into brownie-esque shapes instead of slices. Perfect Pumpkin Brownies truly are the best pick from the patch (and by patch, we mean dessert options)!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.

Step 3 -In a medium bowl, stir the flour, the baking powder, and the salt together.

Step 4 -In a large bowl, stir the melted butter, the sugar, and the vanilla together.

Step 5 -Use a spoon to mix the eggs, one at a time, into the butter mixture.

Step 6 -Gradually stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture.

Step 7 -Evenly divide the batter between two clean bowls.

Step 8 -In one of the bowls of batter, stir the cocoa powder and the chocolate chips in.

Step 9 -In the other bowl of batter, stir together the pumpkin purée, the walnuts, the cinnamon, the cloves, and the nutmeg.

Step 10 -Spread 1/2 of the chocolate batter into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.

Step 11 -Spread 1/2 of the pumpkin batter over the chocolate layer.

Step 12 -Add dollops of the remaining chocolate batter and the remaining pumpkin on top of the pumpkin layer. This will make it easier to swirl.

Step 13 -Gently drag a butter knife through the dollops of chocolate batter and pumpkin batter to create a swirled top.

Step 14 -Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 45-48 minutes.

Step 15 -Cut into squares and serve.
