Ingredients

  • 1 pound mild-flavored fish fillet, about 3/4-inch-thick, such as grouper, tilapia, halibut, or cod
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • lemon wedges, optional, to taste, for serving
  • fresh parsley, optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 -Grease bottom of a rectangular baking dish, 9x13-inch.

Step 3 -Cut the fillets into 4 serving-size pieces, if needed.

Step 4 -Place the fillets, skin-sides down (if they have the skins on), in the pan, folding the thinner ends under if necessary for even thickness.

Step 5 -In a bowl, add the melted butter, the lemon juice, the salt, and the paprika and whisk to combine. Pour the spiced butter over the fillets.

Step 6 -Bake uncovered, 15 to 20 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with fork and reaches at least 145 degrees F on a thermometer in the thickest part.

Step 7 -Serve with the lemon wedges, garnished with the chopped parsley.
