Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so they say. Even if that isn't true, it's the most exciting and anticipated meal of the day, so that is something! When you need to make breakfast for a crowd or if you just worked up an appetite this morning, Scrambled Sliders are here to fulfill the promise of breakfast's potential! Fluffy, buttery Hawaiian rolls sandwich a cheesy filling of hearty golden eggs and salty, meaty ham—the perfect breakfast sandwich! A little sprinkle of poppy seeds adds nuttiness and crunch to this wonderful snack-size meal. Scrambled Sliders might be scrambled on the inside, but they'll bring order to even the most chaotic day!
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian rolls
- 1 (9-ounce) package deli ham
- 6 eggs
- 6 slices American cheese
- poppy seeds, optional, to taste, for topping
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon of butter.
Step 3 -Slice the rolls in half lengthwise and lay the bottoms in the prepared baking dish.
Step 4 -Place an even layer of the ham on the bottom buns.
Step 5 -In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of the butter.
Step 6 -Add the eggs and cook until scrambled, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 7 -Layer the scrambled eggs over the ham.
Step 8 -Cover the eggs with the cheese.
Step 9 -Place the top buns on top of the eggs and cheese layer.
Step 10 -Melt the remaining butter and brush it over the top buns.
Step 11 -Sprinkle the poppy seeds over the buns.
Step 12 -Bake until heated through, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 13 -Serve.
