  • 1/2 cup canola oil, plus more if needed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 3 teaspoons ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 3 pounds cube steaks
  • salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

Step 1 -Using a large skillet over medium heat, heat the oil.

Step 2 -In a medium-sized bowl, combine the seasoned salt, flour, and pepper. Set aside.

Step 3 -Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4 -Dredge each piece of steak in the flour mixture, pressing down to generously coat the meat.

Step 5 -Add the butter into the skillet immediately before frying.

Step 6 -Once the butter melts, fry the steak pieces in the butter/oil mixture.

Step 7 -Once the bottoms are a deep golden brown, flip and cook on the other side for about 1 minute.

Step 8 -Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 9 -Serve immediately.
