- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, melted

- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 8 ounces bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- For the glaze:
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
Directions
Step 1 -Using the oil, coat the inside of a glass bowl and set it aside
Step 2 -In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Set the yeast mixture aside to bloom.
Step 3 -In the bowl of a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment, add the warm milk, the sugar, 1/3 cup of the melted butter, the salt, and the egg and mix to combine.
Step 4 -Add 2 cups of the flour to the milk mixture and mix until smooth.
Step 5 -Alternate adding the yeast mixture and the remaining 1 1/2 cups of the flour to the dough mixture, mixing until smooth after each addition. Add the extra flour, a little at a time, if needed until the desired consistency is reached.
Step 6 -Using the extra flour, lightly dust a work surface, and then turn the dough out onto the floured surface. Knead for 5 minutes.
Step 7 -Place the dough in the oiled bowl and cover it.
Step 8 -Let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free place until it has doubled in size, about 2 hours-2 hours 30 minutes.
Step 9 -Punch the dough down.
Step 10 -Roll out or press the dough into a 9x15-inch rectangle, about 1/4-inch-thick.
Step 11 -Spread 1/2 cup of the melted butter all over one side of the dough.
Step 12 -Sprinkle the brown sugar, the cinnamon, and the bacon crumbles evenly over the buttered-side of the dough.
Step 13 -Beginning on the long side of the dough, roll the dough into a log, pinching the seam and the ends to seal it.
Step 14 -Cut the dough log into 12 even slices.
Step 15 -Pour the remaining 1/4 cup of the melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Step 16 -Place the sliced rolls in the pan so that they are almost touching and allow them to rise until they double in size, about 45 minutes-1 hour.
Step 17 -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 18 -Bake the rolls until they are golden-brown, about 25 minutes.
Step 19 -Whisk the maple syrup and the confectioners' sugar together until smooth.
Step 20 -Allow the rolls to cool for 4-5 minutes.
Step 21 -Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls.
Step 22 -Serve warm.
