Easiest Lasagna Ever? The easiest? Oh yes, the easiest. This recipe is perfect for those who want that Italian comfort food but don’t want to worry about making 20 layers! Instead, these layers are easy to assemble, easier to make, and filled with the rich, savory, cheesy flavors that make lasagna so iconic. Easiest Lasagna Ever is perfect for dipping your toe into Italian cooking or for when you want a hearty dinner without the effort. Tender, rich, beefy, cheesy—just wait!
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 (25 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 6 lasagna noodles, not no-boil
- 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) package mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, optional, chopped, for garnish
- 2 tablespoons parsley, optional, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 -Spray an 8x12-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
Step 3 -Heat a 12-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4 -Add the beef, stirring and breaking it up, until cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
Step 5 -Remove the skillet from the heat.
Step 6 -Stir in the marinara sauce and vegetable broth.
Step 7 -Spread 1/3 of the marinara-meat sauce into the bottom of the baking dish.
Step 8 -Top with 3 of the uncooked lasagna noodles.
Step 9 -Spread 1/2 of the ricotta over the noodles by using the back of a spoon.
Step 10 -Top the ricotta evenly with 1/2 of the mozzarella and 1/2 of the parmesan.
Step 11 -Add another 1/3 of the sauce.
Step 12 -Add 3 more uncooked lasagna noodles.
Step 13 -Spread evenly with the remaining 1/2 of the ricotta.
Step 14 -Pour in and spread the last 1/3 of the sauce.
Step 15 -Top with remaining 1/2 of the mozzarella and parmesan.
Step 16 -Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for about 35 minutes.
Step 17 -Remove foil and continue to bake uncovered until the lasagna is just tender, about 10 minutes.
Step 18 -Let the lasagna rest for 5 minutes before digging in.
Step 19 -Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve.
