Ingredients

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 (4-ounce) block sharp cheddar cheese, thickly shredded
  • 1 (4-ounce) block pepper jack cheese, thickly shredded
  • 3/4 cup pepper jelly, homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, thinly sliced, for serving
  • round butter crackers, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 -In a large bowl, add the cream cheese and use an electric hand mixer on high speed to beat until smooth.

Step 2 -Add the dry mustard, the garlic powder, the cayenne pepper, the celery salt, the minced onion, and the parsley to the cream cheese and beat until combined.

Step 3 -With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the sharp cheddar cheese and the pepper jack cheese to the cream cheese mixture and mix until it is well-incorporated.

Step 4 -Increase the mixer's speed to high and whip the dip mixture to completely combine, about 1 minute.

Step 5 -On a 6-inch plate with deep sides, evenly spread the dip mixture on the bottom of the plate.

Step 6 -Cover the plate tightly and refrigerate, for at least 8 hours and up to overnight.

Step 7 -Evenly spread the pepper jelly over the top of the dip mixture and sprinkle with the chives.

Step 8 -Serve the crackers with the dip.
