There's nothing too complex about these Grilled Honey Pork Chops, but that doesn't mean they aren't rich in flavor! Quite the opposite, in fact! The pork is the right blend of savory and sweet, which the kiss of the grill only highlights by adding a beautiful, charred crust! And then there's the honey-garlic glaze — savory, sweet and sticky and packed with umami! Yum! Grilled Honey Pork Chops are grilling made simple and scrumptious!
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 8 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 6 (14-ounce) bone-in pork chops
- kosher salt, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the grill to 450 degrees F.
Step 2 -In a saucepan over medium-high heat on the stovetop, add the honey, the soy sauce, and the garlic and stir to combine.
Step 3 -Bring the honey mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and allow the mixture to simmer.
Step 4 -Simmer the honey mixture until it has thickened and the garlic is tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 5 -Transfer the saucepan from the heat.
Step 6 -Add the black pepper to the honey glaze and whisk to combine.
Step 7 -Lightly season the pork chops on all sides with the salt.
Step 8 -Add the pork chops to the hot grill and cook, turning the chops frequently, until the chops have a crust on both sides, about 7 minutes.
Step 9 -Lower the heat to medium-low and cook, turning the chops frequently, until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 10 -In the last 1-2 minutes of cooking time, brush the chops evenly with 1/2 of the honey glaze, reserving the remainder for serving.
Step 11 -Transfer the pork chops to a serving plate.
Step 12 -Serve the chops with the remaining honey glaze.
