- 10 mini croissants
- 10 slices Swiss cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- thyme leaves, to taste, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Lightly grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.
Step 2 -Place the ham slices between paper towels then put them on a microwave-safe plate.
Step 3 -Microwave the covered ham slices on high heat until they are warmed, about 45 seconds.
Step 4 -Use the paper towels to blot the ham slices to remove the excess moisture.
Step 5 -Split the croissants in half with a serrated knife.
Step 6 -Top each of the bottom croissant halves with 1 of the warm ham slices and 1 of the cheese slices. Fold the ham slices and the cheese slices, as needed, to fit on the croissant.
Step 7 -Return each of the top croissant halves.
Step 8 -Place the stuffed croissants in the prepared baking dish.
Step 9 -In a large bowl, add the eggs, the heavy cream, and the Dijon mustard and whisk to combine.
Step 10 -Slowly pour the egg mixture over the stuffed croissants.
Step 11 -Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours and up to overnight.
Step 12 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 13 -Discard the plastic wrap and bake the croissant bake, about 35-40 minutes.
Step 14 -Carefully cover the croissant bake with foil and bake until the tops are golden-brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean, about 15 minutes.
Step 15 -Serve the croissant bake garnished with the thyme leaves.
