Super easy and extremely tasty, these halves of garden-fresh heaven are seasoned just right and grilled to create the best flavor ever. Sprinkled with some creamy feta cheese crumbles, Heat-of-Summer Tomatoes remind us why this is the best time of the year!
Ingredients
- 4 large tomatoes, firm and ripe, cut in half
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- kosher salt, to taste
- ground pepper, to taste
- feta cheese, to taste, crumbled, for topping
- fresh thyme sprigs, to taste, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Step 2 -Gently rub the tomato halves all over with the olive oil, then generously and evenly season them with the salt and the pepper.
Step 3 -Place the seasoned tomato halves, cut-side down, on the grill and cook until they are tender and lightly charred, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 4 -Carefully flip the tomato halves and cook until they are tender, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 5 -Evenly season the grilled tomato halves with the salt and evenly sprinkle with the cheese.
Step 6 -Serve the grilled tomato halves garnished with the thyme.
