Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 sprigs fresh dill or dried dill, to taste
  • 1 sprig fresh parsley
  • 1 shallot, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound salmon fillets, pin bones removed
  • salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste, for serving
  • 2 slices fresh lemon, optional, for serving

Directions

Step 1 -In a sauté pan over medium heat, add the wine, the water, the dill, the parsley, and the shallots and bring to a simmer.

Step 2 -Sprinkle the salmon fillets with the salt.

Step 3 -Place the salmon skin-side down in the pan.

Step 4 -Cover and cook until the salmon reaches desired doneness and a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees F, for about 5-10 minutes.

Step 5 -Serve sprinkled with the freshly ground black pepper and with the lemon slices.
