Ingredients

  • 1 (14.3-ounce) package golden sandwich cookies, plus more, to taste, optional, halved, for garnish
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16-ounce) container imitation whipped topping, divided
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • lemon, to taste, optional, sliced, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -In a food processor, add 1 package of the sandwich cookies and pulse until fine crumbs form.

Step 2 -Reserve 1 cup of the cookie crumbs.

Step 3 -In a medium bowl, add the remaining cookie crumbs and the butter and mix to combine.

Step 4 -In the bottom of a 9x13-inch pan, press the cookie mixture. Alternatively, you can spread the cookie mixture among several serving glasses, distributing the crumb mixture evenly and pressing it down in each cup.

Step 5 -Place the pan or serving cups in the refrigerator to chill while making the other components of the dessert.

Step 6 -In a large mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, 1/2 of the imitation whipped topping, the powdered sugar, and the lemon juice and mix until smooth.

Step 7 -Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cookie crust layer in the pan or cups and chill in the refrigerator.

Step 8 -In a medium mixing bowl, add the vanilla pudding mix, the lemon pudding mix, and the milk and whisk until it thickens.

Step 9 -Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cream cheese mixture layer in the pan or cups.

Step 10 -Top the pudding mixture evenly with the remaining imitation whipped topping.

Step 11 -Chill the dessert until set, about 1 hour.

Step 12 -Serve garnished with the reserved cookie crumbs, the halved cookies, and the lemon slices.
