With just a pleasant buzz and a touch of sweetness, a Mint Julep is the best of sitting back and relaxing beverages. It takes so little effort and time to make you can begin relaxing even before your first sip!

Ingredients
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup, store-bought or homemade
- 8 mint leaves, plus more, to taste, for garnish
- crushed ice, to taste
- 2 ounces bourbon
- Angostura bitters, optional, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Add the simple syrup and 8 of the mint leaves to a glass, muddling the leaves gently until they are fragrant.
Step 2 -Fill the glass with the crushed ice.
Step 3 -Add the bourbon.
Step 4 -Top the cocktail with 1-2 dashes of the bitters and stir gently.
Step 5 -Garnish with the extra mint leaves and serve.
