  • 4 (4-ounce) tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup almonds, sliced

Directions

Step 1 -Sprinkle the fillets with the salt and the pepper.

Step 2 -In a large nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 3 -Add the fillets and cook until the fish begins to just flake easily with a fork and are cooked to 145 degrees F internally, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Step 4 -Transfer the fillets to a plate and keep warm.

Step 5 -Add the butter, the wine, and the lemon juice to the skillet.

Step 6 -Cook and stir until the butter is melted and the mixture reaches a simmer.

Step 7 -Cook until the fillets reach an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F.

Step 8 -Serve the fish with the sauce, sprinkled with the almonds.
