Ingredients
- 1 cup jasmine or long-grain white rice, uncooked
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup celery, sliced
- 1 cup green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest, grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Step 1 -In a large pot of boiling water, cook the rice according to the package directions.
Step 2 -In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 3 -Add the celery and the green onions to the skillet and cook until they are tender.
Step 4 -Add the cooked rice, the lemon zest, the salt, and the pepper to the celery mixture and toss lightly to combine.
Step 5 -Cook the rice mixture until it is heated through.
Step 6 -Serve.
