A refreshing blend of crisp white wine, warmly-spiced apple cider, and beloved brandy, this party punch is balanced with the festive fall flavors of pumpkin butter and smoky maple syrup. Fresh Honeycrisp apples, juicy oranges, tart pomegranate arils, and a hint of cinnamon all infuse the brew with that true fall sangria feeling. A splash of ginger beer adds a delightful bite and fizz, making Turkey Trot Sangria the perfect drink for toasting to a fun-filled Thanksgiving!
Ingredients
- 1 (750-milliliter) bottle dry white wine
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup pumpkin butter or apple butter
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup, plus more, to taste
- 2 Honeycrisp apples, sliced
- 2 oranges, sliced
- 1 cup pomegranate arils
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 (12-ounce) bottle ginger beer, plus more, to taste
- ice, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -In a large pitcher, add the white wine, the apple cider, the brandy, the pumpkin butter, the lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of the maple syrup, the apple slices, the orange slices, the pomegranate arils, and the cinnamon sticks and stir to combine.
Step 2 -Taste the sangria mixture for sweetness and add the extra maple syrup, as desired.
Step 3 -Chill the sangria for at least 2 hours.
Step 4 -Add 1 bottle of the ginger beer to the sangria immediately before serving. If desired, add the extra ginger beer to the sangria.
Step 5 -Fill your intended serving glasses with the ice.
Step 6 -Add the sangria to the prepared serving glasses, ensuring to add some of the fruit slices and the cinnamon sticks to each.
Step 7 -Serve.
