Whether you're serving a big turkey feast or a casual chicken dinner, you can always count on this Whipped Squash Delight to liven things up! So, whip it up and taste the delightfulness for yourself!
Ingredients
- 1 butternut squash, peeled and seeded, cubed
- 3 cups water
- 3/4 teaspoon salt, divided
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions
Step 1 -In a saucepan over medium heat, add the squash, the water, and 1/2 teaspoon of the salt and bring to a boil.
Step 2 -Reduce the heat and simmer the squash mixture until it is tender, about 20 minutes.
Step 3 -Drain the liquid from the saucepan, then place the squash in a large bowl.
Step 4 -Add the butter, the brown sugar, the nutmeg, and the remaining salt to the squash and use an electric hand mixer to beat it until smooth.
Step 5 -Serve.
